Consultancy track record

  • Formed in October 2005, the consultancy, Neil Beningfield and Associates Ltd, had completed nine commissions by the year end and over 800 by August 2018.
  • It specialises in all aspects of mortars, brickwork, masonry, floors and floor screeds, particularly on-site investigation of problems and defects, expert witness work and related issues. Where problems are involved, the aim is to provide a speedy, cost effective site service, followed up by a comprehensive report. At all times the focus is on a rapid, positive resolution of the issues.
  • Where expert witness work is involved the appropriate rulings and guidelines are strictly adhered to, with absolute objectivity and cognisance of the first duty to the court being strong guiding principles.
  • Has worked in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Canada, Dubai, France, Israel, Portugal, Republic of Ireland, Serbia, Singapore and Spain.
  • The current work of the consultancy regularly takes Dr Beningfield into Continental Europe.

 

Expert witness work

  • Is an experienced expert, fully familiar with the requirements of CPR 35. Has worked with many of the major legal firms active in the construction industry. Case studies and referees are available upon request.
  • Has successfully worked both as single and joint expert, and has assisted in preparation of cases on behalf of the Claimant as well as for the Defendant.
  • Experienced witness in mediations, arbitrations & full court hearings.
